Delhi: Three people have been arrested in connection with the alleged murder of a 25-year-old man whose body was found with his hands tied behind his back in a public park in Delhi’s Vijay Vihar area, police said on Monday.
The body was discovered in Maharana Pratap Park around 5 AM on June 29, after a PCR call alerted police to a suspicious object lying in the park.
“When officers reached the spot, they found the man dead with his hands bound using a white gamcha (cotton cloth), indicating he had been restrained and killed in a planned attack,” said a senior police officer.
A murder case was registered under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Vijay Vihar police station, and an investigation was launched.

Police formed multiple teams to scan the crime scene, review CCTV footage from nearby areas, and establish the victim’s identity. Technical surveillance and local intelligence provided crucial leads during the probe.
“Following sustained fieldwork and questioning of suspects, three individuals have been arrested in connection with the murder,” the official added.
