1 killed, 3 injured as Delhi bus rams into e-rickshaws

In a tragic incident in east Delhi on Sunday, a 36-year-old man named Anand lost his life, and three others, identified as Ali, Sameer, and Asif, were injured when a DTC bus collided with two e-rickshaws and a fruit-cart puller.

According to police, the incident occurred in Kalyanpuri, and according to the police, the reckless DTC driver fled the scene, leaving the victims behind.

They said upon receiving a PCR call about the accident, police teams quickly responded to the situation.

“Anand’s body was sent for post-mortem examination, while the injured victims were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment,” an official said.

The authorities have filed an FIR, and efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the absconding driver, he said.

A senior police official assured that the driver would be arrested soon, as investigations into the incident continue. (With inputs from PTI)
