A 20-year-old man was shot dead in northwest Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area, police said on Monday. The victim, identified as Rohit Brar, was a resident of Sector 16, Rohini. He sustained a gunshot wound just below his left cervical bone.
According to police officials, they were alerted by staff at BJRM Hospital on Sunday when Brar was brought in with a gunshot injury. He had been rushed to the hospital by three men — identified as Pankaj, Alam, and Akash. However, shortly after admitting him, all three men fled the hospital premises and are currently absconding.
“Soon after the victim was admitted, the trio disappeared. They are now on the run, and multiple teams have been deployed to trace them,” an investigating officer said.

A case has been registered at Jahangirpuri police station, and a full investigation is underway. Officials have not ruled out any motive at this point, including personal enmity or accidental firing, as inquiries continue.
As of now, the police are appealing to the public for any information that could help locate the suspects or clarify the events leading up to the shooting. The incident has raised concerns in the locality, and residents await further updates from the authorities.
