
Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a pleasant morning on Monday, with the minimum temperatures settling a few notches below the season’s average.
According to the India Meteorological Department, Lodhi Road recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the city at 16.6 degrees Celsius, 2.4 degrees notch below normal. Ayanagar followed closely at 16.7 degrees Celsius, a drop of 2.2 degrees Celsius, while Safdarjung, the city’s base station, logged 17.7 degrees Celsius.
Palam and Ridge recorded minimum temperatures of 17.9 and 17.8 degrees Celsius respectively.
No rainfall was recorded at any of the five stations in the last 24 hours leading up to 8:30 am, with skies expected to remain partly cloudy through the day.
The maximum temperature is likely to touch 31 degrees Celsius.
Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘moderate’ category with the average Air Quality Index (AQI) being clocked at 123, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
