A three-day festival of devotional music, Bhakti Sangeet, will be held from March 13 to 15 at Central Park Connaught Place. Organised by the Sahitya Kala Parishad under the Delhi government’s Department of Art, Culture and Languages, the festival will feature evening performances celebrating India’s bhakti music traditions. Entry to the event is free.
Performances will begin at 6 pm each day. The event will be attended by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta as the chief guest, while minister Kapil Mishra will be present as the guest of honour.
The opening day will feature devotional singer Anuradha Paudwal, along with performers Bhairav Singh Chawhan and Agnihotri Bandhu. The second day will include performances by Sujit Ojha, Swati Mishra and Sawai Bhatt. The final day will see performances by Anshu Thapaliyal, Dhananjay Hegde and Nitin Kumar with a devotional band.
According to organisers, the festival aims to bring together different traditions of bhakti music and offer audiences an opportunity to experience devotional singing in an open public space in the heart of the capital.
Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees are advised to arrive before the performances begin.
