Three people, including a 13-year-old boy, were injured in a house fire that broke out in the Lahori Gate area of Old Delhi early Friday morning, officials from the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) said.
The injured have been identified as Master Anas (13), who suffered 50 per cent burn injuries, Nabi Ahmed (18), with 45 per cent burns, and Shahnavaz (30), who sustained 40 per cent burns. All three were rushed to Lok Nayak Hospital (LNJP) by police and fire personnel.
The DFS received a call about the fire around 3:40 AM. The blaze had erupted at a residence on Shraddhanand Marg in the Farsh Khana locality. Five fire tenders were immediately dispatched to the site.

“The fire appeared to have started from a cluster of 15 electric meter boards on the building’s ground floor. A motorcycle parked nearby was also engulfed,” a fire official said.
Firefighters managed to contain the blaze by 4:50 AM. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation is currently underway.
Meanwhile, a massive fire broke out at a factory in Delhi’s Bawana Industrial Area early Saturday, triggering a powerful explosion that led to the collapse of the multi-storey structure, according to the DFS.
“Seventeen fire tenders were rushed to the spot in Sector 2 after a call was received at 4:48 am about a fire at a plastic bottle manufacturing unit,” said DFS chief Atul Garg.
Thick black smoke was seen billowing from the factory before an explosion tore through the building, causing it to collapse. Fortunately, no injuries or casualties have been reported so far.
The explosion, which occurred shortly after the fire erupted, jolted nearby residents awake. Panic spread through the area as locals rushed out of their homes, fearing further blasts.
Rescue and containment operations have been hampered by debris from the collapsed structure. A police investigation is underway to determine the cause of the fire and subsequent explosion.
