Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday launched the national capital’s organ donation portal and pledged to donate various body parts.
The initiative was launched as part of programmes under ‘Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan’ marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday and his 25 years of public service.
The State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) has signed an MoU with the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO) to promote organ donation in the national capital, officials said.
Gupta urged people in Delhi to come forward and pledge their organs for donation.

Officials said people can scan a QR code on the portal to register their pledge and generate an organ or tissue donation pledge certificate.
The organ donation facility will be headquartered at the Delhi government’s GB Pant Hospital, they said.
