
Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved the extension of service for 767 contractual paramedical staff in hospitals across the national capital for another year, according to Raj Niwas officials.
These employees work on a contract basis in various hospitals, medical institutions, and within the Delhi Health Services, the officials statement reads.
“The paramedical roles include assistant (OT), lab assistant, radiographer, technician (OT), lab technician, pharmacist, assistant dietician, physiotherapist, and X-ray technician,” they said.
Additionally, the LG has approved the extension of service for 188 ex-servicemen employed as foot constables on a contractual basis in the Transport Department until July 31, 2025, the officials added.
Previously, Saxena, when approving the extension for the paramedical staff, directed the Health and Family Welfare (H&FW) Department to announce the vacant posts that these contractual employees are filling, the officials further added.
Officials also said that the recruitment process for 1,055 paramedical positions in various categories, such as pharmacists, lab technicians, speech therapists, technical assistants, lab assistants, supervisors, and refractionists, is currently underway by DSSSB.
