Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena has given the green light for the allocation and transfer of land parcels for various essential projects that have long been pending in different areas of the national capital, as confirmed by Raj Niwas officials on Friday.

Saxena has granted approval for the allotment and transfer of a 3,360 square meter plot of land in Bhalswa to the Delhi Jal Board (DJB). This land will be dedicated to the construction of a sewage pumping station in the Badli locality. The transfer of land from the Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) to DJB has been sanctioned.

Furthermore, he has authorized the allocation of 1,451.54 square meters of land on a temporary basis for one year to the Regional Rapid Transport System (RRTS) project in the Jangpura area. This allocation is intended for utility purposes during the ongoing construction activities related to the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transport System (RRTS) and an elevated road connecting the Ring Road.

In the Jangpura region, an additional parcel of 919.54 square meters of land has been designated for the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC). This land will be used for relocating shops located in the shadow area of the elevated road and for temporary parking facilities.

To facilitate the construction of a 66KV Grid ESS in Nawada village, Uttam Nagar, a piece of land measuring 4,291.386 square meters will be transferred from the Irrigation and Flood Control Department (I&FC) to the Power Department, and this transfer will be done free of charge. This move will enable the Power Department to construct or expand power-related infrastructure.

Saxena, serving as the competent authority, has given the nod for these land transfers, which are crucial for the advancement of vital infrastructure projects in Delhi.
