Cloud cover blanketed Delhi today as parts of the city received rainfall, offering relief from recent high humidity.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported at 3 pm that moderate to heavy showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and wind speeds of 40 to 60 kmph, along with lightning, are expected across Delhi and the NCR.

“As of now, there is no heavy rain warning for Delhi,” stated an IMD official.

The IMD explained that despite their forecast models and measurements, heavy rainfall did not materialise in national capitallast time due to the shifting of the rainfall belt.
