Delhi: A mysterious explosion occurred near the CRPF school in Prashant Vihar, Rohini, Delhi, on Sunday morning, causing damage but fortunately no injuries. The Delhi Fire Services (DFS) reported that the incident took place at around 7:50 am, when they received an emergency call about a loud blast near the school’s boundary wall.
Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene immediately. However, upon arrival, they found no fire and no casualties, so the engines returned shortly after. The blast, however, caused damage to the school’s wall, nearby shops, and a parked car. The Delhi Police also rushed to the spot, along with bomb disposal experts and forensic teams, to investigate the source of the explosion.
According to police, initial investigations suggest the blast might have been caused by something as small as a firecracker, but they are not ruling out any possibilities. A senior police officer stated, “Our forensic team and crime unit are collecting samples from the blast location. While it could be a firecracker, we are investigating from all angles.”
