
The MCD has removed 342.33 quintals of solid waste from 428 parks across Delhi as part of a special cleanliness drive aimed at enhancing hygiene and maintaining public spaces.
Launched last week, the drive covered all 12 zones and will continue in the coming weeks to ensure the parks’ sustained cleanliness, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) said in a statement.
To further curb illegal dumping of waste, the civic body has urged residents to report such incidents through the MCD-311 mobile app.

“The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has successfully carried out a special cleanliness drive, during which 342.33 quintal of solid waste was removed from 428 parks across the city. This initiative was undertaken to enhance the cleanliness and visual appeal of parks, ensuring a healthier and more pleasant environment for Delhi residents,” it said in the statement.
MCD launched a special cleanliness drive for parks last week, under which solid waste has been removed from parks in all 12 zones of the corporation, and this process will be continued. MCD appeals to the citizens to complain about the incidents of illegal dumping of garbage on the MCD 311 app, which will help in maintaining the cleanliness of the city, the statment read.
The MCD remains committed to maintaining public spaces and will continue to conduct similar drives to promote hygiene and environmental sustainability. Residents are encouraged to support these efforts by keeping public areas clean and adhering to waste disposal guidelines, the statement further added.
