
Delhi Airport: A CISF head constable posted at Delhi Airport shot herself dead inside a washroom at the airport on Friday morning, officials said.
According to officials, 37-year-old Kiran committed suicide by shooting herself with her service pistol at 8.44 am while she was on duty.
No suicide note was recovered from the spot, a senior official said.

Police were alerted about the incident and teams were rushed to the spot. A forensics team has visited the spot and lifted exhibits, he said.
The body has been taken into custody and sent for postmortem to Safdarjung Hospital. Further investigation into the matter is underway, the officer said.
Meanwhile, on January 4, a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawan deployed at Surat International Airport died by suicide on Saturday after shooting himself with his service weapon. The incident occurred inside the airport washroom around 3 pm, according to police.
The deceased, identified as 32-year-old Kishan Singh from Jaipur, was serving at the airport as part of his CISF duties. Authorities stated that he shot himself in the stomach with his service rifle. “He was immediately taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead,” said Police Inspector NV Bharwad.
Police have launched an investigation to determine the reason behind his actions. The washroom was sealed off as part of the inquiry. The incident created panic among airport staff.
Singh began his CISF career as an assistant sub-inspector in 2015 and was promoted to sub-inspector in 2022.
