Police in Delhi reported that a property dealer from the city fell victim to an alleged scam, losing approximately Rs 1.30 crore to two individuals who purportedly agreed to purchase his BMW and Range Rover vehicles.

The complainant, Gursangat Chaddha of Chattarpur, Delhi, stated that he and his friend Kunal Bansal initially bought the cars, with intentions to later sell them. They were referred to Siddharth Chaturvedi and Akash Chaturvedi, who operated a showroom on Golf Course Road, DLF-1 in Gurugram, by another friend, Vidit Jain.

Chaddha explained, “We had the vehicles inspected by a mechanic. The accused provided an advance payment of Rs 2 lakh via cheque and requested a 45-day grace period for the remaining payment.”

However, after the designated period elapsed, attempts to contact the showroom proved futile. Chaddha and his friend discovered that both the accused and the cars were nowhere to be found.

In response to the complaint, the Sushant Lok police station registered an FIR against the alleged perpetrators under the appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code.
