The India Meteorological Department announced on Monday that Delhi will experience a drop in maximum temperature to 35 degrees Celsius over the next two days, attributed to strong surface winds.

Monday saw a day temperature of 38.3 degrees Celsius, slightly below the normal range, according to the weather agency.

Kuldeep Srivastava, scientist and head of the Regional Weather Forecasting Centre, informed PTI that temperatures are expected to decrease by one to two degrees on Tuesday, further dropping to 35 degrees Celsius by Wednesday.

Clear skies are forecasted for the capital in the coming days, accompanied by surface winds with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kilometres per hour during daytime hours.

Relative humidity levels varied between 23 percent and 72 percent throughout Monday.

The weather office anticipates minimum and maximum temperatures to settle around 37 and 22 degrees Celsius, respectively, on Tuesday.
