Delhi records minimum temp of 26.9 degrees Celsius, light rain likely

The capital city experienced some much-needed relief from the recent oppressive heat as it received showers in various areas on Saturday morning.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city’s minimum temperature on Saturday was 26.9 degrees Celsius, which is slightly higher than the seasonal average.

Over the past 24 hours until 8:30 am, Delhi recorded 0.6 mm of rainfall, with the humidity level at 85 percent at that time. The IMD has forecasted generally cloudy skies with occasional light rain throughout the day.

The maximum temperature is expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius. As of 11 am, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was measured at 84, falling within the ‘satisfactory’ range on the AQI scale, where an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good,’ 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory,’ 101 to 200 ‘moderate,’ 201 to 300 ‘poor,’ 301 to 400 ‘very poor,’ and 401 to 500 ‘severe.’ (With inputs from PTI)
