Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 15.5 degrees Celsius on Saturday, 2.6 degrees below the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The Palam area reported an even lower minimum temperature of 13 degrees Celsius at 8:30 AM, 4.7 degrees below normal. Relative humidity was recorded at 32 per cent at the same time.
The maximum temperature is expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius during the day, with strong surface winds likely, the IMD said.
Air quality remained in the ‘moderate’ category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 115 at 9 AM, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). An AQI between 101 and 200 is classified as ‘moderate,’ while levels between 0-50 are considered ‘good,’ 51-100 ‘satisfactory,’ 201-300 ‘poor,’ 301-400 ‘very poor,’ and 401-500 ‘severe.’

On Friday, strong winds swept through the city in the evening. The maximum temperature settled at 32.3 degrees Celsius, 4.1 degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 20.9 degrees Celsius, 2.8 degrees above normal. Humidity levels fluctuated between 17 per cent and 51 per cent throughout the day, the IMD added.
Delhi sweltered on March 26, the hottest day of 2025, when the temperature soared to a scorching 40.5 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
