Delhi experienced a pleasant morning on Saturday as the minimum temperature was recorded at 16.7 degrees Celsius, 0.6 degrees below the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather department predicted a mainly clear sky throughout the day, with the maximum temperature likely to reach around 34 degrees Celsius. The humidity level was recorded at 58 per cent at 8:30 AM.
The air quality in the city remained in the ‘moderate’ category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 150 at 9 am, as per the data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). An AQI between 101 and 200 falls in the ‘moderate’ category, indicating that while the air quality is acceptable, some individuals, especially those sensitive to pollution, may experience mild respiratory discomfort.
On Friday, the maximum temperature in the capital settled at 32.8 degrees Celsius, 0.7 degrees below the season’s average. The minimum temperature was recorded at 16.5 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels fluctuated between 65 and 29 per cent during the day.
The air quality on Friday was also in the ‘moderate’ category, with the AQI recorded at 144, according to CPCB data. Though the air quality remained within acceptable limits, it still requires monitoring as pollution levels can fluctuate during peak hours.
