In Delhi, the minimum temperature on Saturday settled at 27.3 degrees Celsius, slightly above the seasonal norm, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

The IMD’s forecast for the day included strong surface winds. They anticipated that the maximum temperature in the national capital would reach approximately 37 degrees Celsius.

At 8.30 am, the humidity level stood at 69 percent, according to the IMD’s data.

Meanwhile, the Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi, as per the Central Pollution Control Board’s data, was categorized as ‘moderate,’ with a reading of 138 recorded at 9 am.

To put this into perspective, AQI levels are assessed as follows: an AQI reading between zero and 50 falls within the ‘good’ category, while 51 to 100 is considered ‘satisfactory.’ An AQI range of 101 to 200 is labeled ‘moderate,’ 201 to 300 is ‘poor,’ 301 to 400 is ‘very poor,’ and an AQI exceeding 400 is deemed ‘severe.’ (With inputs from PTI)
