Delhi Weather: Residents of Delhi woke up to a refreshing drizzle on Saturday morning, following similar weather conditions on Friday, February 28. The brief showers added a cool touch to the city’s atmosphere. Despite the light rainfall, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has not issued any warnings and expects partly cloudy skies throughout the day.

Neighbouring areas in the National Capital Region (NCR), including Noida and Ghaziabad, also experienced light rain. On Friday evening, showers were reported in several parts of Delhi, as well as in Noida and Haryana, contributing to the pleasant weather.

IMD forecast for Delhi-NCR

Rainfall and snowfall across northern India are being attributed to western disturbances. For Saturday, the IMD has predicted scattered light rain and thunderstorms in isolated areas of Delhi, accompanied by wind speeds of 30-40 km/h.

The IMD has also indicated a high probability of rainfall in multiple locations across Delhi-NCR, including Loni Dehat, Hindon Air Force Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar, and Ballabhgarh.

In Haryana, areas such as Assandh, Safidon, Gannaur, Sonipat, Kharkhoda, Sohana, Rewari, Palwal, Bawal, and Nuh are likely to receive rain. Parts of Uttar Pradesh, including Gangoh, Deoband, Kandhla, Baraut, Bagpat, and Khekra, are also expected to see similar weather. Meanwhile, Bhiwadi in Rajasthan may witness rainfall and thunderstorms. Additionally, the IMD has issued a hailstorm alert for Rewari in Haryana and Bhiwadi in Rajasthan, warning of potential hail activity within the next hour.
