A Gurugram court on Saturday approved bail for Elvish Yadav, the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, in a case involving assault against YouTuber Sagar Thakur, known as Maxtern.

“Following the bail application, the court has granted bail in the case. He will be required to provide a bail bond, which will be submitted to the court,” stated his legal representative, Advocate Himanshu Yadav.

Earlier, Gurugram Police had filed a request for a production warrant for Elvish Yadav, who was being held in Noida jail at the time.

Judicial Magistrate First Class Harsh Kumar had mandated Elvish’s appearance in court on March 27, but on Saturday, Noida Police brought Elvish to the Gurugram court.

Elvish had been granted bail by a Gautam Budh Nagar court on Friday, according to the police.

Upon arrival at the court, Elvish was interrogated by a Gurugram Police team for three hours regarding the assault case.

“After the interrogation, we presented him in court requesting 14 days of judicial custody. However, the court granted him bail. We will be sending notices to other accused individuals to participate in the investigation,” stated Sector 53 Police Station SHO Inspector Rajender Kumar.

Advocate Yadav mentioned that Elvish was granted bail based on the fact that he and the complainant YouTuber had reached a settlement.

On March 8, Elvish Yadav was captured on video assaulting content creator Sagar Thakur in a mall shop in Gurugram.

Following Thakur’s complaint, an FIR was filed against Elvish Yadav and others at Sector 53 Police Station.
