A leopard unexpectedly entered a residence in Delhi’s Roop Nagar area, causing minor injuries to five individuals on Monday morning, officials said.
The Delhi Fire Service received notification of the incident at approximately 6:20 am, prompting the dispatch of two fire tenders to Jagatpur village in Delhi’s Wazirabad.
“Assisted by locals, officials successfully confined the leopard within a room. The injured were promptly transported to a nearby hospital,” said Atul Garg, Chief of the Delhi Fire Service.
Upon arrival, law enforcement officers secured the area, and the forest department was promptly notified. (With inputs from PTI)
