Method Delhi is currently hosting Formation & Fracture, a compelling group exhibition showcasing the work of 13 alumni from the IMMERSE Fellowship, a contemporary art initiative by Somaiya Vidyavihar University. The exhibition opened on July 4 and will remain on view until August 3 at Method’s Defence Colony space.
The show delves into the dual themes of construction and disintegration, inviting viewers to reflect on how forms—whether physical, emotional, or ideological—are built and inevitably tested. Through diverse media and personal inquiries, the artists explore how bodies, memories, systems, and landscapes are shaped, layered, and sometimes broken apart.
“Formation in this context goes beyond assembly; it becomes a metaphor for identity, belief, and structure,” the organisers noted. “Fracture, on the other hand, is not treated as failure, but as a vital and often transformative act—something that can expose both vulnerability and resilience.”
The participating artists include Adarsh Palandi, Akash Biswas, Amith Nayak, Anup Let, Bhanu Shrivastav, Bhavin Patel, Bheeshma Sharma, Gaurang Naik, Hasan Ali Kadiwala, Richa Arya, Satyanarayana Gavara, Shikha Soni, and Siddharth Soni.

IMMERSE is an initiative conceptualised by Al-Qawi Nanavati, Natasha Jeyasingh, Shaleen Wadhwana, and Siddharth Somaiya. It offers mentorship, exposure, and institutional support to early-career artists and curators across India. Both IMMERSE and Method share a common goal—to provide meaningful platforms for emerging voices in contemporary art.
“By hosting Formation & Fracture, Method reinforces its commitment to supporting new talent and facilitating critical conversations around art, society, and change,” the gallery stated.
