
Heatwave: Delhi experienced its warmest night in 12 years on Wednesday, with the minimum temperature reaching 35.2 degrees Celsius, over eight degrees above the seasonal norm, the weather office reported.
The previous record for the warmest night in the city was set in June 2012, with a minimum temperature of 34 degrees Celsius.
On Tuesday, Delhi had recorded the warmest night of this season at 33.8 degrees Celsius.

Amid persistent heatwave conditions, hospitals in Delhi-NCR are seeing an influx of patients suffering from heat stroke and exhaustion. Doctors have advised the elderly and immunocompromised individuals to avoid going outdoors.
Last month, Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj announced that government-run hospitals in Delhi would reserve two beds each for heatstroke patients, while five beds would be reserved at LNJP Hospital.

According to a private weather forecasting agency, Delhi may see some relief from extreme heatwaves starting Wednesday.
