IPL 2023: Father, two sons arrested for misbehaving with spectators at Arun Jaitley Stadium

A 55-year-old man and his two sons, identified as Deepak Makhija, Vishesh Rai, and Vansh Rai, residents of Laxmi Nagar, were arrested for their alleged misconduct at Arun Jaitley Stadium during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match.

According to police on May 13, while seated in the VIP enclosure of Hill A, they reportedly threw liquor on other spectators, resulting in intervention attempts by stadium staff and Delhi Police personnel.

However, the trio not only continued their unruly behavior but also attacked the staff and police officers,” they said.

The incident has prompted the registration of a case at the IP Estate police station, said police. (With inputs from PTI)
