Virtual PhD Tour 2023: An opportunity to study in France

The Virtual PhD Tour 2023, organised by the French Embassy in India, is set to showcase exciting opportunities for Indian students to pursue a PhD in France. This online tour consists of four webinars, each focusing on a different field of study.

Targeted towards master’s degree students who are considering pursuing a PhD after graduation, the tour aims to provide valuable insights into the available opportunities in France. It will offer a comprehensive overview of PhD programs, funding options, and scholarships, helping students navigate the process with ease.

The four thematic webinars are designed to equip students with the necessary information to understand why pursuing a PhD in France is a great choice. France boasts a vibrant doctoral education system, with nearly 70,000 PhD candidates, including over 29,000 international PhD candidates. Students can expect a world-class education across various fields and immerse themselves in the rich culture and history of France.

Webinars Schedule

May 22, 2023, at 6 pm: “Why Choose France for Your PhD? Finding and Funding Opportunities.”

This session will provide insights into the structure of doctoral and post-doctoral projects in France. It will also cover useful tools for finding and funding doctoral programs, as well as scholarships offered by the French government and public research institutes.

May 23, 2023, at 6 pm: “Exploring Health and Biology Research at the PhD Level in France.”

This session will offer an overview of the life sciences research landscape in France, highlighting prominent institutions and researchers in the field.

May 24, 2023, at 6 pm: “Discovering Computer Science at the PhD Level in France.”

Participants will learn about the wide range of specialised areas offered by French universities and institutes for computer science students. The session will also touch upon the national program on artificial intelligence (AI).

May 25, 2023, at 6 pm: “Exploring Engineering Sciences at the PhD Level in France.”

This session will emphasize the significance of pursuing a PhD in engineering sciences in France. It will cover aspects such as financing and duration of a PhD, the international atmosphere among PhD students, and industry collaborations.

The virtual PhD Tour 2023 is open to all master’s students and aspiring researchers in India. Campus France encourages all interested individuals to join the tour and explore the exciting opportunities available for pursuing a PhD in France.
