Light rain likely during the day in Delhi

Delhi: Residents of Delhi woke up to a humid start on Monday morning, with the minimum temperature reaching 29.1 degrees Celsius, which is 1.8 degrees above the average for this time of year, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD forecasted that the national capital will experience cloudy skies and is expected to receive very light to light rainfall throughout the day.

The weather department also said in its forecast that the national capital is likely to witness isolated heavy rainfall till July 31. Some parts of the national capital are likely to witness heavy rainfall on July 30 and 31, as per the weather office.

At 8:30 am, humidity levels in the city were reported at 78 percent. The maximum temperature is anticipated to be around 37 degrees Celsius, as per the IMD’s predictions.

Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 74 at 9 am, placing it in the ‘satisfactory’ category, as reported by the Central Pollution Control Board. The AQI scale classifies scores between 0 and 50 as ‘good’, 51 to 100 as ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 as ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 as ‘poor’, 301 to 400 as ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 as ‘severe’.
