Light rain likely in Delhi

Delhi woke up to partly cloudy skies on Friday, with the minimum temperature settling at 28.7 degrees Celsius.

Station-wise data showed that Palam logged 27.5 degrees Celsius, 0.5 notches below normal, while Lodhi Road recorded 27.4 degrees Celsius, 0.4 notches above normal.

The Ridge station registered 26.6 degrees Celsius, which was normal for the season, and Ayanagar recorded 27 degrees Celsius, 0.6 notches below normal.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast partly cloudy skies during the day, with thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and very light to light rainfall.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 40 degrees Celsius.

Delhi’s air quality remained in the ‘moderate’ category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 123 at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

As per the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.
