Moderate rain likely in Delhi

Delhi woke up to a humid morning on Monday, with the minimum temperature settling at 27.6 degrees Celsius.

Besides Safdarjung weather station Palam, Ayanagar and Lodhi Road stations also recorded a minimum of 27.6 degrees Celsius.

The Ridge area was relatively cooler at 24.5 degrees Celsius.

No rainfall was recorded at the five stations between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm on Sunday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.

Although no alerts have been issued, the IMD has predicted generally cloudy skies with moderate rain in the city.

The national capital’s air quality was recorded in the ‘satisfactory’ category with average air quality index (AQI) being clocked at 88, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
