One killed, one injured as bus rams into over a dozen vehicles in Delhi

In a tragic incident on Saturday afternoon, a Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) low-floor electric bus rammed into more than a dozen vehicles in Rohini South, resulting in the death of a man, police said.

The accident took place around 2:45 pm near Vishram Chowk in Awantika. According to authorities, the bus first collided with a car before striking an e-rickshaw and several two-wheelers parked along the side of the road. The entire crash was captured on CCTV cameras.

Tragically, a man lost his life on the spot, while another individual sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention. Preliminary investigations indicate that the bus driver may have lost control of the vehicle, leading to the devastating collision.

The police are currently examining the CCTV footage to gather further insights into the incident. The authorities continue their investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident, police said. (With inputs from PTI)
