Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 27.7 degrees Celsius on Monday, 1.2 notches above normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The Ridge station recorded the lowest minimum temperature among the stations at 22.8 degrees Celsius, while Palam recorded 24.4 degrees, Ayanagar 26.7 degrees and Lodi Road 27.2 degrees.
The city received no rainfall in the 24 hours till 8:30 am, according to the IMD data.
The IMD has predicted partly cloudy skies with no rain in the city for the day, with maximum temperature likely to touch 36 degrees Celsius.
Delhi’s air quality was recorded in the ‘Moderate’ category on Monday with average air quality index (AQI) clocked at 118, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
