Rain lashed several parts of the national capital on Monday evening, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a ‘Yellow Alert’ and predicting that similar weather would continue across several Delhi districts until late evening.
According to the IMD’s district-level nowcast issued at 4:24 pm, light rain and light thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds of 30-40 kmph were very likely over parts of South East Delhi, East Delhi, Shahdara, Central Delhi, North East Delhi, South Delhi, New Delhi, South West Delhi, West Delhi, North West Delhi and North Delhi.
The weather office did not issue any warning for the remaining districts.
