
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast generally cloudy skies with spells of moderate rain in the national capital on Sunday, keeping the weather pleasant. The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 32 degrees Celsius.
Delhi woke up to an overcast morning with the minimum temperature recorded at 24.5 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season’s average. The relative humidity stood at 81 per cent at 8.30 AM, the IMD said.
Air quality was in the ‘satisfactory’ category at 9 am, with the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) reporting an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 84. According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
On Saturday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 30.2 degrees Celsius, 1.9 notches below the season’s average, and a minimum of 23.8 degrees Celsius, 2.7 notches below normal. The relative humidity had touched 95 per cent at 5.30 PM.
