Delhi was soaked by a fresh spell of rain on Saturday, with the Meteorological Department forecasting additional showers throughout the day. Over the course of 24 hours, the national capital received 3 mm of rainfall, which caused inconvenience for many commuters struggling to reach their destinations.
According to the India Meteorological Department, the day was anticipated to be generally cloudy, with moderate rainfall expected. The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius, three notches below the seasonal average. The maximum temperature was projected to reach around 30 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity measured at 96 percent.
Data from the Central Pollution Control Board indicated that Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 79 at 9:00 am, categorizing it as ‘satisfactory.’ The AQI scale rates air quality from ‘good’ (0-50) to ‘severe’ (401-500), with the ‘satisfactory’ category falling between 51 and 100.
