Students who are appearing for Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) Thursday said that they did not have to face any hassle this time in order to obtain their admit cards and information about exam centres. The July phase of CUET exams was marred by multiple complaints from the candidates. Many of the candidates were informed about the change in exam centres at the last minute, due to which they had to miss their exams. Other complaints reported were technical issues on the website and far-off exam centres. Many of them were also scheduled to write their paper on Thursday.
Up until August 20, the first-ever entrance exam for undergraduate programmes at central universities is being administered in its second round. By 2 August, admit cards had been distributed for candidates taking the second part of the CUET, which was planned for 4, 5, and 6 August.
As per The Indian Express report, some students are writing the exam again as they had to miss it due to various issues they faced in the first phase. The report also said that the students are satisfied with the examination process this time, despite being anxious because of the complaints in July.
They also said that the National Testing Agency (NTA) website helped them in solving their issues and problems.
The administrators had promised to offer candidates a second attempt in July who had missed the entrance exam in July due to a last-minute change in the examination centres.
The National Testing Agency conducts the CUET, the second-largest admission examination in India (NTA).
