At the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) in Rohini, the second session of the polygraph examination for Mehrauli murder accused Aaftab Amin Poonawala began on Thursday, according to officials.

The 28-year-old was sick with a fever and a cold, so the test could not be done on Wednesday, according to the report.

He was brought here by the police, and the polygraph test process has begun, a representative of FSL stated.

The narco test for Poonawala has also been postponed due to the test’s delay in completion.

The results of the polygraph test are used to ascertain whether the subject is telling the truth by measuring physiological phenomena such as blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing.

On the other side, the narco analysis entails giving the individual medicine that lowers their level of self-consciousness and permits them to speak freely.

Poonawala is accused of murdering Walkar, his live-in partner, by strangling her and sawing her body into 35 pieces, which he allegedly kept in a 300-liter refrigerator at his home in Mehrauli, South Delhi, for about three weeks before disposing of them over several days after midnight.

The murder took place in May.

Poonawala must go through a series of examinations to determine his emotional, mental, physical, and psychological health. In the event that the preliminary tests reveal that he is “disturbed,” the narco analysis cannot be performed.

On Tuesday, Poonawala had undergone the first session of the polygraph test, also known as the lie detector test, at FSL, Rohini.
