The ongoing search for the leopard, sighted on Friday night in South Delhi’s Neb Sarai, continues, with over 50 police officials deployed to monitor the situation.

Despite more than 48 hours passing, there are no leads on the leopard’s whereabouts, and the two trap cages set up by the forest department remain in place, according to a police official on Monday.

The leopard was last seen near a farmhouse in the Neb Sarai area, located on the Delhi-Haryana border. Since the initial sighting, there have been no further sightings of the animal.

To ensure public safety, at least 50 Neb Sarai Police station personnel are on duty around the clock, working in collaboration with the forest department under the supervision of Inspector Surender Rana, the station house officer.

Efforts to inform the public about safety measures continue, with announcements made thrice daily to educate people on what to do and what to avoid if they encounter the leopard.

Meanwhile, the forest department reported on Saturday that two teams comprising 40 personnel each have thoroughly combed the jungle area, which is interconnected with the Aravali Hills range.
