Three injured as Jaguar car hits cab in Delhi

A cab driver and two others sustained serious injuries after a speeding luxury car collided with their vehicle here, police said on Sunday.

The incident occurred in the early hours when a speeding Jaguar collided with the cab and two other vehicles before coming to a halt near the Dhaula Kaun area of southwest Delhi, according to the police.

“A PCR call was received around 4:55 am reporting the accident involving three vehicles and three injured individuals. Upon reaching the spot, our team found that the injured had been taken to unidentified hospitals,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Rohit Meena.

At 8:32 am, the police received information from AIIMS Hospital regarding the cab driver, identified as Harjeet Singh, and two other individuals who were traveling in the same cab, added DCP Meena.

“The owner of the Jaguar car, who fled the scene after the accident, has been identified. Our teams are actively pursuing the accused,” he said.

DCP Meena further mentioned that investigations are ongoing, and the police are working to determine if additional individuals were injured in the accident. (With inputs from PTI)
