During the 14-day event India International Trade Fair at the Pragati Maidan here, some 2,500 local and international exhibitors from a number of nations, including the UK and the UAE, will present their products.
This year, Uttar Pradesh and Kerala are the “focus states,” while Bihar, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra are the “partner states,” according to the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), a division of the commerce ministry.
Twelve nations, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Belarus, Iran, Nepal, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE, and the UK, are participating from abroad.
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced that it will begin selling tickets for the IITF on November 14 for “business days” (November 14–18) and on November 19 for “general public days” (November 19–27).
Only 67 specific metro stations will sell IITF admission tickets, the DMRC announced in a statement.
Shaheed Sthal New Bus Adda, Dilshad Garden, Shahdara, Seelampur, Inderlok, Netaji Subhash Place, Rohini West, Rithala, Noida City Centre, Mandi House, and Barakhamba station are just a few of the stations where tickets will be sold.
It stated that IITF tickets would not be sold at the Supreme Court metro station. Pragati Maidan is right close to this station.
The customer service centres at these 67 metro stations are open daily from 9 am to 4 pm, and IITF tickets can be purchased there for both business days and general days.
According to a senior official, extra metro token counters, guards, officers, and employees would be deployed at the Supreme Court metro station and other stations as needed to handle the traffic during the trade fair.
The massive event, which is organised by the ITPO, was first staged in 1979. 2020 saw no fair because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It had only happened twice before that the fair had not been planned. It occurred for the first time in 1980.
