Due to waterlogging brought on by today’s heavy rain in Gurugram, the Delhi-Gurugram motorway was flooded. The driver on the section of road had to deal with gridlock, and some individuals could be seen strolling through knee-deep water.

On the indurated stretch, drivers found it difficult to manoeuvre. Furthermore, yesterday there were delays on a portion of the road.

According to a report by Times Now, the Hero Honda Chowk (HHC) flyover’s carriageway will be blocked for the next six days so that span load testing can be done. As a result, the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway’s Jaipur-Delhi side had heavy traffic on Wednesday between the hours of 8.30 am and 1.30 pm.

The 4.7 km route, which usually takes commuters 10 minutes to complete, took them nearly 45 minutes on Wednesday.

In the meantime, Delhi had experienced periods of light to moderate rain, which led to waterlogging on some city roads. On certain portions, the traffic police issued alerts.

The Mahatma Gandhi Marg traffic from Moti Bagh Junction to Dhaula Kuan has been affected by a road cave-in incident close to Satya Niketan.

For the following few days, more showers are anticipated to be visible in the Delhi-NCR area before the monsoon begins to retreat at the end of September.

The Delhi Traffic Police took to Twitter to guide the commuters about the traffic situation.

“Traffic is affected in the carriageway from Mahipal Pur Red Light towards Mehrauli due to waterlogging. Traffic is affected on Phirni Road and Tooda Mandi Red Light, Najafgarh due to waterlogging,” it tweeted.

“Kindly avoid travelling on Mahatma Gandhi Marg from Moti Bagh Junction towards Dhaula Kuan due to waterlogging near Shanti Niketan,” it said in another tweet.

ANI also tweeted pictures of people strolling through knee-deep water on the route.
