
Two 17-year-old boys were injured, one of them critically, after a branch of a banyan tree fell on them in Mayur Vihar Phase-III area of Delhi, police said on Monday.
The incident took place in front of Ashirwad Apartments under Ghazipur police station limits.
Following a PCR call, an investigating officer reached the spot and found that a branch of a banyan tree had fallen, police said.
The injured were identified as Stephen and Om Harshwardhan, both residents of Ghazipur.
The two were rushed to a hospital in Sector 11, Noida for treatment, the police said.
Harshwardhan sustained minor abrasions and is undergoing treatment, while Stephen’s condition is stated to be critical, a senior police officer said.
