Delhi recorded a warm Monday morning, with the minimum temperature settling at 28.4 degrees Celsius, 2.2 notches above the season’s normal.
The minimum temperature at Safdarjung, the city’s primary weather station, was 28.4 degrees Celsius, Palam was 26.2 degrees Celsius, 1.2 notches above normal, while Lodhi Road recorded 27.8 degrees Celsius, 2 notches above the season’s average.
Among other stations, Ridge recorded a minimum of 24.4 degrees Celsius, 2.1 notches above normal, while Ayanagar registered 27.5 degrees Celsius, 1.1 notches above normal.
The city also recorded light rainfall activity over the past 24 hours, with trace rainfall at Safdarjung and Palam, 0.4 mm at Lodhi Road, 3.0 mm at Ridge and 6.8 mm at Ayanagar, recorded till 8.30 am on Monday.
Delhi’s air quality was recorded in the ‘satisfactory’ category with the average air quality index (AQI) being clocked at 75, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 to 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 to 200 ‘moderate’, 201 to 300 ‘poor’, 301 to 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 to 500 ‘severe’.
