Water supply in various parts of the city is set to be affected on Wednesday and Thursday due to planned interconnection work by the DMRC, said Delhi Jal Board (DJB).
The DMRC will be conducting interconnection work on the 1,500 mm diameter South Delhi mainline, situated opposite the IGL gas station near Twin OHT, Paschim Vihar, Outer Ring Road, and Peeragarhi near the U-turn. This will result in either no water supply or low-pressure water availability on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, as informed by the DJB.
Residents are urged to proactively store an ample amount of water according to their needs. Additionally, water tankers will be made available upon request, DJB officials announced.
The impact of the water supply interruption will be felt in Budella, D block Janakpuri, Sagarpur, and adjoining areas such as Delhi Cantt (MES), NDMC area, RK Puram, Moti Bagh Nanakoura, Katwaria Saral, Ber Sarai, Vasant Vihar, Vasant Enclave, Shanti Nikaten, Westend Colony, Green Park, Sufdarjung Enclave, SDA, Hauz Khass, Munirka, Kisangarh, Masjidmoth, a segment of Mehrauli, IIT, INU, AIIMS, Safderjung Hospital, and nearby regions of Deer Park Reservoir, DJB officials added.
