Vast spread
If you are one who cannot get enough of seafood on your plate or are willing to introduce your palate to an ocean of taste, then gear up for the ongoing Seafood Festival at Chowman outlets spread across Delhi NCR.
From jumbo prawns to crabs and exotic octopus, visitors can sail on a plethora of seafood exotics in the ongoing food festival at Chowman.
Known for its delicious oriental cuisine in Kolkata, Chowman has organised a seafood festival for the first time in the national capital region. And what a spread!
Inspired by culinary delights from the global east, every bite explodes in your mouth.
While the exquisite crab asparagus soup will mesmerise you with subtle flavours, prawn dumplings will leave you greedy.
The steaming plate of dumpling comes with a spicy twist in its filling made of shrimp tossed in oyster sauce. It is delicious with capital D!
Most of the items on the menu are similar to Chowman’s Kolkata menu as the team has cast a net of flavours from the east to bring their guests finest from the sea. The spread features octopus, lobster, crab, pomfret, squid and jumbo prawn dishes.
If you are unsure about experimenting, just ask for chef’s recommendations.
Some of the highlighted dishes of the festival are crab asparagus soup, Thai style jumbo prawn, Cantonese style squid with soy, ginger and chillies, calamari in chilli-tamarind sauce and more.
The ‘lobster with mint, lemon & chilli’, a dish cooked in a sauce made with mint, lemon and chilli, is perfect for pairing with a rice dish or enjoying with a mocktail.
The seafood noodles can be paired with jumbo prawns that have crunchy texture and are dunked in oyster and fish sauces.
With each and every meal, foodies of Delhi are sure to indulge in robust flavours of Chinese delicacies featuring amazing seafood, squid, crab, lamb and pork.
The decor of the restaurant is intriguing with a rustic look of Chinese eateries. Chowman has four outlets in Delhi NCR.
These dine-in outlets also have Chowman’s signature décor with elegant red and black colour scheme surrounded by low lighting. The bronze Buddha statue, pots and bells are thoughtfully put together for a soothing ambiance.
The restaurant is the brainchild of Debaditya Chaudhury, the keyboardist of one of the most popular Bangla bands ‘Lakkhichhara’. The young musician-turned-entrepreneur’s love for food gave birth to two most sought-after restaurants in Kolkata — Oudh 1590 and Chowman.
It was his dream to bring in authentic, traditional Chinese dishes onto the plates of the Bengalis. As a reverberation of the true style of Chinese ambience, Chowman was incorporated with meticulous architectural structure imbibed with a classical, rustic ambience of China.
