Delhi restaurants turn brunch into a full-day experience

Delhi’s brunch culture is no longer limited to cafés serving pancakes and coffee. Across the city, restaurants and lifestyle spaces are pairing food with activities such as swimming, pickleball, painting sessions and luxury shopping.

For Delhiites looking to escape crowded malls and routine outings, these spots are becoming weekend destinations where an entire day can be spent under one roof.

NOD – Rhythm Atelier, Punjabi Bagh

NOD – Rhythm Atelier, nestled inside Punjabi Bagh Club, is a recent addition to Delhi’s café scene. Conceptualised as an all-day neighbourhood escape, the café moves from quiet breakfast mornings to lively, music-filled evenings.

The interiors are modern yet relaxed, with natural light pouring in through large windows and seating spread across spacious sections. Its menu balances comfort food with café staples, including French toast, pancakes, hummus platter, lamb burger, tortellini pasta, wood-fired pizzas, smoothie bowls and artisanal coffees.

What sets NOD apart is its location inside the club premises. Right outside the café is a swimming pool, giving visitors the option of pairing brunch with a poolside day. The venue also offers party spaces for children’s birthdays and summer gatherings, with pool access available for private events.

Dirty Good Cafe and pickleball

Delhi’s growing interest in pickleball has now reached cafés too. Dirty Good Cafe combines brunch culture with the fast-growing sport, creating a social space where food and activity go hand in hand.

Instead of sitting at a table for hours after eating, visitors can head directly to the courts for a game. The café attracts younger crowds, groups of friends and fitness enthusiasts looking for a more active alternative to traditional brunch outings.

On the menu are familiar brunch favourites such as pancakes, loaded sandwiches, eggs on toast, burgers, fresh juices and coffee-based drinks, making it easy to fuel up before or after a game.

Saka: Brunch with painting sessions

Not every brunch outing needs to involve sports or loud music. Saka offers a calmer alternative by blending dining with painting workshops and creative sessions.

The café has become popular among visitors looking for slower, more mindful experiences. Guests can enjoy brunch while participating in guided art activities, making it a preferred option for small groups, couples and solo visitors.

Its menu leans towards café classics and lighter brunch fare, including avocado toast, croissants, pasta, artisanal coffee, desserts and sharing platters.

Zylo by Kakapo, Mehrauli

Located inside the Ambawatta One complex in Mehrauli, Zylo by Kakapo combines food, music and shopping into a single outing.

The rooftop restaurant offers sweeping views alongside a menu that mixes Asian, Mediterranean and European influences. Dishes such as Vietnamese tacos, New Zealand lamb chops, truffle dumplings, sushi platters and wood-fired pizzas dominate the menu, while handcrafted desserts and bakery items add to the appeal.

The restaurant frequently hosts Sufi nights, live music evenings and dance performances, making it ideal for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere over loud club settings.

Its location inside Ambawatta One, home to several luxury designer stores, adds another layer to the experience. Visitors can move from brunch to shopping without leaving the complex.

The Lodhi: Luxury brunch and swimming

For those looking for a more luxurious experience, The Lodhi remains one of Delhi’s best-known spots for combining brunch with leisure activities.

The hotel’s restaurants and poolside spaces offer sprawling brunch spreads, while guests can also access wellness and recreational facilities. Its calm atmosphere, greenery and private poolside areas make it popular during Delhi’s harsh summer months.

Unlike crowded cafés, the experience here is slower and more intimate, attracting families and couples seeking a quiet city escape.

Whether through sports, art workshops, poolside settings or shopping spaces, restaurants are trying to offer something beyond the usual brunch table. For a city constantly searching for new weekend plans, this combination of food and activities appears to be the next big trend.
