
The Visual Arts Gallery at the India Habitat Centre will showcase an exhibition of paintings and sculptures by 24 contemporary artists from Kolkata, presented by 22 Art Street, from August 15 to 19.
Opening on August 15, the exhibition will bring together a diverse selection of works that reflect both Indian cultural traditions and modern artistic expressions. The show promises to offer art lovers and collectors an eclectic mix of styles, subjects, and mediums in one space.
Participating artists include Arun Kumar Chandra Banik, Sanjay Samanta, Surajit Chakraborty, Bappaditya Roychowdhury, Susanta Sarkar, Anjan Sengupta, Sadikul Islam, Debasish Podder, Sumanta Bhowmick, Ravindra Torawane, Debjani Das Ghosh, Saumia Debnath Royburman, Subhra Sonar, Kalyan Das, Debendranath Laha, Anasua Chakraborty, Barun Roy, Haraprasad Chatterjee, Stuti Laha, Jnanabrata Das, Arup Kumar Mondal, Minu Dey, Saswati Sur and Sk. Safik.

According to the organisers, the exhibition is designed to be a “visual treat” for audiences, celebrating the creative versatility of Kolkata’s contemporary art scene. Visitors can expect to encounter everything from traditional figurative work to abstract explorations in colour and form.
