Sufi and more

What: Here’s a powerful new sound in Sufi and rock fusion music –Terra Rosa Gypsies are all set to unleash a feast of music and dance in collaboration with Indian and international artists over a multi-city extravaganza. Titled ‘Jamgarh’, it will see Bernie Marsden performing his chart-topping hits and Terra Rosa Gypsies perform some of their best songs — ranging from soulful, uplifting melodies to high-tempo rock beats belted out by some incredibly talented musicians — along with Las Tablas showcasing Spanish Flamenco. Each concert promises to be a fiesta of scintillating music, dance and poetry. Not just one act, but a medley of riveting performances, all in one evening.            When: January 19 – 20

Shopping bonanza


What: This one’s for the fans of anything Boho. ‘The Boho Bazaar — The Epic Flea Market’ brings to you a curated pop-up bazaar of all things indie, fun and boho with a multitude of offers and amazing discounts. This flea market aims to offer Boho accessories, stationery, apparel, home decor items, pet products and much more — all under one roof. Apart from these, it will also feature an exclusive food zone where you can find everything from BBQ grills, food trucks, winter cocktails, mulled wine and beer; as well as 10 home-grown bands and artists playing peppy tunes to keep the atmosphere light and energetic.
When: January 19 – 20 (11 am – 11 pm)

Poetry on the go

What: This one is for all the poetry lovers in the city. Walking Book Fairs is coming to the city with ‘Poems on the Road’ — a traveling poetry library, bookstore, open mic and poetry readings — to spread love, peace and poetry. Join in to browse, read some of the best poetry books from around the world and also to buy books. This 10,000 km tour is entirely being funded through the book sales from the traveling bookstore. Get a chance to meet, talk and share your stories and poems with other poetry enthusiasts at the open mic and poetry readings. The registrations are open to all.

Story of dreams

What: Having faced multiple successive failures in his career, Rajesh Manchanda, a noted director, is all ready to be back to create his biggest play ever, casting his own son, Ayan. However, relationships soon start to degrade when Ayan comes face to face with Rajesh’s methods of creating a play. To what extent will Rajesh go for his dream? Will he sacrifice his family or will he sacrifice his desire of a legendary play? In their world full of dreams, what happens when they face the reality? Watch ‘City of Stars’, presented at the third edition of the Saitan Theatre Festival, to know what happens next.
