Earthly realities

What: The second edition of Habitat Photosphere, a year-long photography festival conceptualised and curated by Alka Pande is back. The photo festival, focusing on its theme – Earth – aims to evoke an understanding of sustainable environment and culture through photography. The exhibition will feature a number of photographers and artists, who have been awarded Photosphere fellowships — Juhi Saklani (New Delhi), Thulasi Kakkat (Kochi), Zishaan Akhbar Latif (Mumbai) and Syed Adnan Ahmed (Rajasthan).

Old bonds

What: This a story of an unlikely new friendship between two residents of an old-age home that will definitely move you. Bali aur Shambhu is a drama of two completely opposite characters and their unique approaches towards life. While Bali believes in taking life as it comes, Shambhu lives in the glories of his past. After a series of intricate collisions because of their respective ideologies, eventually the two become one. So, drop in to be a part of this unexpected journey.

Music like no other

What: Music lovers, gear up as Dilli Gharaana brings to you one of its kind music festival – Dilli Durbar. With the collective efforts of the members of Sursagar Society, Dilli Durbar is all set to revive Indian Classical music. The festival will feature remarkable performances by renowned Bollywood musicians, like Piyush Mishra, Rashid Khan, Shahid Parvez, Roohani Sisters, Chand Qadri and many more. Not only will the melodious Indian classical tunes be celebrated, there will also be interactive sessions, including seminars and panel discussions, which will address myths and challenges in the music industry. The artists will also share stories of their struggle, motivations and their journey. Finally, a high-spirited gathering will be set off by irresistible sitar rhythms and performance by the Khalifa himself.

Rhythmic connect

What: Block your dates for a sensational collaboration of rhythm, poetry, storytelling, music and dance. ‘Speak – Rhythm in Feet’ will feature the world’s leading Indian classical and jazz musicians and promises to thrill and move your spirit. It carries forward the legacy of iconic artists like Pandit Chitresh Das, Dr Jimmy Slyde and James Buster Brown, while bringing to the forefront the voices of powerful female artists.
