
Bharatanatyam dancer Sowmya Laxmi Narayanan, a disciple of renowned Guru Geeta Chandran, will present a solo recital at Triveni Kala Sangam, Mandi House, New Delhi on Friday, October 10, at 6:30 PM. The event is open to the public with free entry.
During the performance, Sowmya Laxmi Narayanan will showcase a classical repertoire including Pushpanjali in ragam Shree (Adi talam), Varnam in ragam Khamas (Adi talam) — “Saami Nee Rammanave” by Ponniah Pillai, Padam in ragam Shuddha Sarang (Adi talam), Javali “Smarasundaranguniki” in ragam Paras (Adi talam), and Tillana in ragam Yamuna Kalyani (Mishra Chapu talam).
The accompanying orchestra will feature Guru Geeta Chandran on nattuvangam, K Venkateshwaran on vocals, Manohar Balatchandirane on mridangam, and G Raghavendra Prasath on violin.
