A solo exhibition titled ‘Black 7 Art’ by artist Ram Onkar will be held at Convention Foyer, India Habitat Center, located on Lodhi Road. The event is scheduled to take place from September 16 to September 20, 2023, with opening hours from 11 am to 8 pm daily.

Artist Ram Onkar shares his profound perspective on his lifelong dedication to art, stating, “I have been immersed in the world of art for countless years, and painting has been the essence of my existence. I find immense joy in my journey as an artist, a journey I wholeheartedly embrace today and into the future.”

Reflecting on his artistic evolution, Onkar said, “Through the medium of colors, I’ve had the privilege to explore and understand the world. My curiosity is insatiable, always pushing me to learn and discover new horizons. That’s why I’ve chosen music as my subject—a medium that holds a special place in my heart.”

“Music is not only dear to me, but it resonates deeply with everyone. It has the power to bring happiness and refresh both the mind and body. Doctors even recommend it for its therapeutic benefits,” he said.

Discussing his artistic journey, Onkar told Patriot, “Music is a universal language that energizes the soul and reaches into the deepest recesses of the mind. I believe there’s hardly anyone who doesn’t appreciate the magic of music, and that’s precisely why I’ve dedicated years to expressing this theme on canvas.”

Incorporating depth and dimension into his creations, he explains, “In my artistic journey, I’ve added a 3D dimension to my work, bringing my oil and acrylic canvases to life through the stroke of my brushes.”

Onkar also highlights the significance of culture in his work, stating, “I’ve always held the rich tapestry of our culture and the identity of our nation in high regard. Music, being an integral part of our heritage, flows from the depths of the soul, transcending value.”

In describing his artistic vision, he concludes, “In my artwork, you’ll find the emotions of those immersed in the musical experience beautifully depicted on their faces, amidst a backdrop of abundant joy and blooming flowers.”
